Hi all thought I'd post on this thread rather than start a new one.

1st of all big thanks to scotlady for doing a sterling job of informing you all about the Reading Live Event.

I have sent pms to everyone on my list through wass forum, I don't do it here in case usernames are different. So could everyone please contact me and let me know if you are 100% definite to attend the event. If your not already on the list then you're probably too late now as we already have the card room full.

I am doing this a little earlier than I usually do because of the fact that the event is now full, in order for people to be added to the list I need to remove people who need to drop out for whatever reason.

Thanks for your help, I will look back in here and check pms both here and at wass, if your username is different here could you make sure you inform me of your wass name.

I spoke to Darren the poker manager from Reading casino this week. Here are a few "pointers" for everybody, the regulars will probably know most, if not all of it, but may still be worth reading it anyway.

Registration:- it could take 5 minutes or more per person to register, forms to fill in. If possible, pop along on the afternoon and get it sorted, that way you will be able to go straight in on the night time and it will make it much easier when it comes to getting everyone seated for the game if we are all in the casino.

Identification:- If you have it, a driving license or a passport, pretty standard really. If not, bank cards, utility bills etc. I would recommend you take a few different things if possible.

Tournament Structure:- For those who don't know

Friday Evening 8pm start.

£20 buyin - £10 to prizepool and £10 bounty. £5 fee.
3000 chips starting stack.
Blinds start 25/50 and go up every 20 minutes.
If the game looks like its gonna over run, blinds will start to go up every 15 minutes. This will not happen in the first 3 hours, will be analysed then.
Break will be approximately 11pm, at this time the buffet will be served.
Final table of 10 players.

Saturday Evening 7pm start.

£20 buyin - all entrance money to prizepool. £5 fee.

Game will run exactly the same way as Friday, just without the bounties. Break will again be at approximately 11pm.

For the benefit of people who don't know. We start 1 hour earlier on the Saturday in order to try to finish a bit earlier. Later start is needed on the Friday for the people who travel on that day. Plus on the Saturday you may well find that your a bit more tired after a late night and little sleep, so an earlier finish is usually preferable.

I am really looking forward to seeing all my old friends again and meeting some new ones. Bring your A game to the tables but remember the social aspect of the event. My hats off to you all for attending the event, lets show Reading what a Wass Live Event is all about.

im an admin member of Wass and i am asking you to come to our live event in Reading

i understand the problem you had with your post but as you can see it has now been rectified

the problem has been over the past games we have had of people coming in and saying put my name down i am coming and never to be seen again, and we tell the casino that we have a certain amount coming and they give us a great deal for the more we have the less we have to pay, but as time goes by people drop out and on the day of the event people dont turn up. so we told them we had 75 - 80 going and now we are struggling to get 60 and the casino is not happy.

this of course is not your fault but what git was trying to say was that we just cant have people coming and posting saying they are coming without knowing anything about them or who they are coming with as 99% of the time those that post like that dont come, but he is just trying his best for wass itself and was not singling you out in any way, hes done it before and im sure he will do it again but maybe next time he may think first but i doubt it lol he really is a truly lovable and fun guy and does as much harm as a teddy bear can do

i extend a Wass welcome for you again and ask you to come and meet us all and have a wonderful time and hopefully make some new friends. i understand the difficulties you have and have had and hopefully this would help you in a huge way

Well Nikki & Leo finally got here Originally due in at 4pm, arrived 6.30pm, then 2 tubes to Marylebone, train to Banbury and a taxi. :beaten:Finally got to mine at about 9pm :eek:
