Before the redeployment I never suffered one disconnection.
Now it happens to me several times a day.
Please redeploy back to the other server.

whats going on with the RunTime Trap 3 problems, its beginning to get frustrating!
Surely seeing as Liam started this thread someone from PDC/Carbon or whatever they are calling themselves would have seen it and realised there was a problem and MAYBE, JUST POSSIBLY, DONE SOMETHING ABOUT IT AND LET US ALL KNOW THAT THE MATTER IS IN HAND AND IS BEING FIXED, INSTEAD OF JUST IGNORING IT!

I've only had runtime error trap 3 four times in the past and haven't had it at all in about 2 1/2 months.
I seen some people talking about it at a table and one person said that upgrading to Windows SP3 stop the error for them.
I updated my computer to SP3 just over a week ago but like I've said I really haven't been having much of a problem with the error.
If you haven't updated to SP3 its available at Windows Update.

I'd like to add that I have both Windows XP and Vista machines and have never had the rutime error that people keep posting about. Now granted, I don't ever use the 2x2 format nor do I multi-table more than 3 tables at a time.
If there is a system file that is corrupted/missing/older version, then upgrading to SP3 could very well fix the error because it is a major update to XP.

I'm wondering if anyone ever received a solution to the runtime error #3(trap) problem. I am still getting it virtually every session (anywhere from after 10 minutes to an hour and a half). I am running XP with SP3.

Did you download SP3 or are you using a new comp that came with it already installed?

Downloaded SP3 for XP on two different computers, same runtime error. (at home and at work, during lunch of course ;) )

get rid of it. for awhile anyway. the problem with service packs is that it takes awhile for any other non microsoft software that you may run to catch up and add their own patches. Unless you were having troubles of some sort before you're download, SP2 works like a dream. I've yet to come across anything anywhere that tells me I need SP3 to continue

If you don't want to get rid of the service pack, try disabling the script debugging and the notification of such in the internet options tab in the tools sections of IE

Actually, I received the error before and after XP SP3 was installed. I also had the script debugging and notification disabled. I'm wondering if the error could be related to also running a 3rd party "tracking" software product. Anyway, many thanks for your effort, Miklosik.

It would be very cool if they made it one click to see the tournie lobby from your table. A competitor does it. I won't mention who as they obviously aren't on the Merge Network... but it makes things easy. As it is now if you are playing a game its takes several clicks to see the tournie lobby & then if you want to go back and view you have to go through it all again. It isn't user friendly. For the person that MTTs it's a severe hindrance.
I got boned last night in the $3,500 too. Playing a hand which I lost no problem but the the runtime error happened at that very second and I was forced to shut down the software and when I came back I was too late to rebuy. And I would have ~ I have no pride :beaten:. Something does need done about it. While it doesn't happen on a consistent basis when it does happen it has the chance to cost a person their tournie life & it's all fine and well if they lose because of players at the table or the dealer, but we shouldn't have to fight the software. The software should never be our adversary at the tables.

I've no experience with Vista but I doubt thats the problem. It's site specific involing Merge. You need a bigger work table would be my guess. I have no idea whether or not Vista allows a temporary swap between the HD and RAM. Probably not though. Gates doesn't like anyone messing with his 'genius'. Go to your local computer store and tell them you need a RAM upgrade.

Sorry for the wait. I never saw it until yesterday. Sometimes you have to knock me upside the head with a 2x4. Or a pm would work also.
Did you upgrade your RAM? Go from 256 to 512?
