Additions to the Comp Store

Over the next few months there are going to be some major advancements to the Comp Point Store.
Starting now we will be adding new exciting items. At the moment we have just received
our latest. A limited edition CarbonPoker coffee mug . This mug is a great assistant while playing
poker as it has a single dice built in with all the options you need for those tough hands.
Example: you have pocket 3’s the flop comes A, 2, 4 rainbow, your opponent raises the pot .
Now what do you do?????? Well you spin the Carbon dice your options are: All in, Call, Raise or Fold.
I know with hands like this all the same options go through my mind, now I have help with the decision.

But i ordered the chipset first, i wanted that first. (my other chips are old and feels cheap..)

I ordered the carbonpoker chipset the day that Liam said they hand come in a little over a month ago. I live in New Mexico, USA and received the chipset 14 days after I placed the order.

I totally agree with your assessment....I also was looking forward to that money clip! I agree that prices are a little steep for some of these items but it is kind of a nice way to reward you for playing. I mean technically they really dont have to give u anything for your rake but this is just a nice way to reward you for playing. I hope they update the store soon and stock some more items but until then i think im just going to hold onto my 80k points

lol i ordered a polo shirt on 31st october 2007, still to this day i havent recieved it. aint bothered to complain because at the end of the day 50,000 points is worth sh1t in a comp points store that celebrates a mug as a new item

The prices are fine, we just need STUFF. I started here in Mid February of 2008 and have accumulated 10,000,000, yes 10 million comps, and there is nothing to do, I have several chipsets, the shirts in all sizes, everything there is. I really really cant wait for more goodies, but it's been an eternity, tourney tickets would be absolutely PERFECT !!!!!

Hello again. The Hoodies are a go they will be added to the store any day now. We are also in the process of adding Money Clips, Card Guards, and Key Chains. I'm liking the poker book Idea . I could use it thats for sure...lol... If anyone has new Ideas to add, I like the feedback.

guys the tourny tickets are the freerolls $1000 every night $2000 on saturday $10000 on sunday. and $50000 end of the month. that said i would like to see more places paid in the 1000 and 2000. the fields are way to large to only pay the top 30 and 50 players.
the comp points store does not even compare to ****** or *******. but they don't give you 100k in freerolls for playing on there site now do they. i do like the poker book idea, and how about some gift cards, we could all use a gas card about now. also dvds, gift cards to online stores, that way it won,t get lost in the mail like my shirt. you could also do a months worth of free coaching at one of the many poker coaching sites. hell just be a little more creative and the store would be alot better. mp3 player, candles, poker pictures, grooming kit, poker magazines, stuff that people will use.

yes and no. they could easily award tickets to say, the 20k guaranteed on sundays for x amount of comp points or run satellites to other tournaments with comp point buy ins much like ***** and ******** does.

so while they have these freerolls for which i am grateful for as it would be nice to have other options to spend the points for other things than just a mug or a shirt, which, coincidentally advertise this site...

i realize they don't have to do anything....however, it just makes good business sense to aspire to the 2 biggest successful sites out there.

i also agree they need to pay a larger field. as much as i love top heavy payout structures for buy in tournaments, freerolls should be spread out a bit more.

i don't think its a matter of us complaining about tourneys...its merely us asking, much like you are, for other options to spend the comp points on. I, personally, would rather play satellites off my comp points than buy a grooming kit like you mentioned earlier.

i don't see anyone *****ing at all about the tournaments already in place. in fact, i mentioned that they don't have to do anything and that i was grateful for them.

its obvious that we agree that they don't have to do anything. its obvious we agree that the current options for the store are less than appealing. we simply have differing opinions of what should go in the store is all.

that all being said, i sincerely hope carbon after the new release sits down and seriously hammers out something we all can be happy with in some way.

Most of the freerolls are weekday mornings inc 50k and 10k for people down at the bottom of the world. I would love to play these more often but can't. So it would be good to be able to use comp points to enter tourneys that I can play at a reasonable time, i.e not while im working!!

Everyone knows there is only one good item in the comp store (chip set) it really is a disgrace that there are not more 'useable' items. Hats, t'shirts etc should b given away to the winners of wsop etc so they can wear them at the live events not sold! Sell us poker books, poker software, poker stuff that we want!

I know i am not allowed to name other sites here but at a large site I used to play at they have an amazing comp store, surely this would not be hard to acheive here?

And i do agree the item SHOULD be overpriced here because of the great freerolls the site provides.

It does not matter that the 20k is a $65 buyin. Comp points MUST be assigned a value and we should be able to use them for tourney tickets,no matter what the price. If I wanna spend a million points on a big tourney I should be able to. I have 10 million comp points wasting away because there is nothing to buy. A hoodie costs a certain $ amount to buy, so discover that $ amount and set it for tourneys. If a hoodie costs them $12 to buy and they offer it at 200,000 pts then obv the value is $0.00006/pt. So i f I want a $65 tourney ticket, then take 1,083,333 points from me, there is no difference in cost to the site. Just do it already.

see, i think that is part of the problem here. and i am not blaming you at all. so please do not take it that way. the comp pts are handed out so freely, so people can get in the freerolls. now what they have is so many players with large amounts like yours, it makes it hard for them to give players the things you are asking for. look how fast the hoodies sold out. maybe they should think about doing things another way. this is the sites problem and they should do something about this. that said 10 million pts is alot and they should do something extra for players like your self. if not tourny tickets how about a million pts freeroll. i bet in the future your going to have to use the comp pts to play the freerolls. and you will not keep them. or it will be something like sperate pts for the store and the freerolls. i hope they come up with something for you. the store as is, must be pretty useless for a player like your self. how much rake did you generate getting that 10 million pts. so they sholud do something for you.

I cant even be bothered to play on this site anymore, I used to pay more than $400 a day in rake here and yay i get what they call "comp" points ... comp points are meant to be a REWARD with a certain value. If they aren't worth anything and never will be then they should really change the name to "frequent player points" or something with less meaning.

I have not played at this site for almost 2 months, there is no benefit to it, they don't value their players and soon will find that with so many other sites out there offering great rewards for the valuable players that they simply won't be able to compete.

I am sure my $400 a day in rake paid isn't a huge amount but I certainly feel that I am valuable to any site that is willing to make my happiness their priority and this site simply cannot and will not do that.

When one of the higher rake raisers and one of the higher comp points earners can be outright degraded by an administrator of the site, it shows the true colors of this site and where it is headed.

Finally, I am not only active in the forum to assist players.... but here to look after our sites name and reputation.

Many times I have sat quiet while players have made completely false statements to big note themselves and slander the site... When I read the initial post and saw the figures stated next to the posting nickname were incorrect, I simply asked for the true figures to be used.
