This weekend I was playing a LIVE £1/£2 side game . After playing for around 2 hours the following hand occurred. I will firstly try to set the scene by giving you the information I had gathered from the players leading up to this point in an attempt to help you play the hand...

The Scenario:

SEAT ONE : Open

SEAT TW0 : A very solid player. He'd really only played AJ or better. This player had a tendency to call most bets, slow play his hands and raise on the river when he thought he had the best hand. STACK : £240

SEAT THREE : Open

SEAT FOUR : A looser player than seat 2. He would play a wider margin of hands but never bet/raised, he was the ultimate calling station and a hard person to bluff. STACK : £180

SEAT FIVE : This was a new player to the table. He had only been seated for 4 hands. The previous hand he went broke, the first hand he had played, when his all-in pre-flop AK didn't hit against seat 6's pocket Queens. So information was very limited here. STACK : £200

SEAT SIX : Despite having QQ the previous hand, this player could only be described has a "madman". He was in nearly ever pot irregardless of position, cost or cards. He would bluff most pots with a small opening bet but never really committed a lot of his stack. This guy truly brought a whole new meaning to the term any two cards. STACK : £480

SEAT SEVEN : Myself. I was really pleased with how I was playing. With a solid table image, and having won a few nice pots, I found myself chipping away quite nicely and amassed a healthy stack over two solid hours of poker. STACK : £430

SEAT EIGHT : Open

SEAT NINE : Open

* The stack sizes are approximates but correct give or take a £1 or £2. *

The Hand :

Seat five had the button, so Seat six posted the SB (£1) and I posted the BB (£2).
Seat two limped UTG, followed by seats four and five. Seat six made up the extra £1 and also flat called putting the pot at £10.
I, in the BB, looked down to find so raised the pot, £12 making it £10 to go. All players barring seat four called the extra £10. So I was out of position playing a four way pot with AA.

The Flop :

The maniac in seat six checked from the SB so I proceeded to bet £28 just over half pot. The more conservative player in seat two, UTG, called my bet as did the new player on the button.
Here commence the dilema... The SB check-raised to £69... What would your next move be...

(B) CALL

I would prob flat call putting him on an up n down str8 flush draw or poss set with flush draw.

Having said that with a little adrenalin pumping I would prob start sweating and throw it all in and then lose to a str8 flush.

If you raise and he re-raises are you prepared to fold with nut flush draw and AA held......possibly not, so I would see the next card and if not too scary, ALL IN.

Difficult decision, but I hope you made the right one and hopefully a packet as well.

Outcome One :

With seats 2 and 5 still to act after the raise this did slow me down. I was worried about all the flat calling from UTG and the SB could have had anything on that flop.
Holding the Ace of Hearts, nut-flush draw, really made it hard to fold on the flop for £41 more. I was getting almost 5/1 to draw to a nut-flush with the possibility of another £82 been added if seats 2 and 5 opted to call. The implied odds where there too. I didnt really want to see the 2,5 or 7 which all would have been 4 cards to a straight flush, I was sure that I would be holding the best hand. With the raise from seat 6, the only player covering me at the table, I was pretty sure of getting paid off and doubling up.

I CALLED hoping that seats 2 and 5 didn't re-raise and I caught a big heart.
Seat 2 folded for the £41 more but with position I guess seat 5 also called The pot now stood at £285.

The Turn

IMO the worst turn card possible was:6s:

From 1st position, seat 6, immediately went all-in for about £400 easily cover myself and the other remaining player in seat 5. So it really is crunch time now What's he got what's your play...

never call flop, always shove and then u dont have a problem on the turn, ur not drawing dead.

calling = suicide, how many cards in the deck are going to make your comfortable, chuck it if u dont wanna rebuy possibly or shove in if you have intentions of going to the turn.

Hmmm... 400 $, "maybe" he is bluffing but 400$ :(
In live game 1-2 $, if seat 6 is "madman" I will fold and wait to make better trap next time ;)
I m sure you have chances to win this hand but you dont have to go all in on that flop:)

can't call.
Even folding is better than calling.

Shove and reload.
