I am a bit proud over me self! :D

I was playing 1000grtd R/A 5 dollar buy in. Thanks to some donkey play,
I manage to take me to the top.

When there where 4 player left included me I got KK in my BB.
KK is not a hand I have ever folded pre-flop. I have folded AA once
and then I was bubble and was just trying to survive in to the money
and actually made it to money that time.

However, I have never folded KK pre-flop... I use to play them
no matter what. This time, when I was going to hit call, something
just said NOOOOO!!! Fooooold! And I FOLDED!

Fritzson folded KK pre-flop! :eek::eek::eek:

LMAO.. Yes, if I was first out or in middle. I would definitely pushed either some of the chips or everything to the middle of the table. :D

haha.. a little good, I mean, I was thinking, let them take each other out. huh.. :o It was a good back off from my side.

The key was not the position this time.. I had KK a few hands earlier and had
won that hand. Of experience, it is rare I win with AA, KK or QQ twice in row...
that was the biggest reason to my fold. I can lose with those hand many times in row, but win... Nahhh! that is more rare.... lol

It is hard.. it is easy to fell in love with the guys! They are handsome!
It could have been AK and a smaller pair too... you never know. :(
It was a good feeling.

I had the stack, I didn't need to call... there are times when you miss a little of tourneys and when you arrive you see your self sitting out and you cannot do anything then watch AA or KK or any good hand to be folded... and still you can survive and with the tourney. That was my also a part of my thought when I hit the fold button.

The funny thing was, I fold KK but I play 10 5 and 85.. :o  :D

Yea I agree, 4 handed I dont see how you can ever fold KK pre flop. His range is so wide to repush. Need to have some sick info to muck there.

Nonetheless the hand in general is a sick cold deck. I dont fold 1010 4 handed

4 handed and fold KK, never. My guess is that you folded perhaps to make the money? Did it only pay to 3rd ... great fold I guess; I sure wouldn't do it LOL - especially how often aces get cracked on here anyway

10 payouts, whatever I would have got money, but I would only have got 80 dollar if I would have called. It was a little of the strategy to fold that one.. ;)

You weren't playing to win, but to make money. you saw the all in and the call and you were thinking if the right guy wins, you've made more money. Worse case scenario, someone is shortstacked, increasing your odds of making more money.

Not bad, given your aim, but if you wanna win, you have to make that call.

Well explained Thax :) I'm greedy, I want the win ROFL :D and you can't win by playing scared ;)

I waited for this... actually.

A few hands before that hand I had KK and had won with that. With out having
a calculator to check the odds... can you tell what is the chance to win a 2nd
time with KK?

I had put one of the guys on AA... my read in my mind. And, because I had KK earlier...
I was pretty sure I would lose if I made that call. I was sure some
of them would make either set or beat me with AA.

Sure, KK is a bad hand to fold with 4 players on the table of course... if it is
first time you get them in my opinion. If I had made the call.... to win/ double up
my stack... it would have been kind of stupid. Because, I was the one who
had the smallest stack... and every one who plays in tourneys knows that
if there are 3 all ins and the biggest stack wins 2 players are out of course...
no matter if you have AA or KK.. you will be placed 4th... because you had
the smallest stack... and the other would be placed 3rd, because he/she had
bigger stack when you entered the pot.

That is my opinion and my experience.

When it comes to winning hands... how many of you can say for sure you can play KK
two times in row and win both time in the same tourney?
If you always win 2 times in row with KK.... than I need to re-install the software,
because there must be something wrong with it. ;)

A second point, to why I didn't join those players who were all in...
not because I am proud of me folding KK is the players. They were not
"crazy" players going all in with every good hand they had.. ok, it happens
this time. It was a nice table to play on.

Both the situation and me wanting to get a winning with three numbers of course
made me to fold that hand.... and I saw my self having a chance to
win even if I didn't make that call, because of the players....

There is one thing I have learned through this year of playing, you don't
need to play every good hand to win... you just need to keep your stack up. ;)
... and have patience.

Bad fold or not... it saved my skin :D.... :beaten: :crown:

Two random events have no effect on eachother, the odds remain the same.

Two random events have no effect on eachother, the odds remain the same.

Probably the hand odds are the same every time, but in the long run the
chances to win with the same hands are not the same every time.

I was reading in Phil Gordon's Little Green Book, about chances to win with
same hands in one and same tourney. He had done an experiment of playing
AA vs KK and found this over 10 times with AA vs KK.

In my opinion it must be the same with KK. My experience is that my chances
to win with same two cards a 2nd time decrease. Well, it is my experience. :)

Well, I don't know, but I have taken these numbers from Gordon's book.
If he is wrong... sue him. ;)

Even if it turned out to be a good fold this time it still is a pretty stupid move to fold. 4 handed you get KK, 2 all ins before you. Smile :) and call.

I det långa loppet så tjänar du på att syna med KK här, detta är inget undantag. Att du ens tänker på vad du ska göra i denna handen......

OK...worked for you this time and congrats because of that.
However IMO........awful move. 4 handed with 2 allins you cant fold KK. How many other times are you gonna do that?........never I guess and I guess that the higher money and the chance of someone going out and the increase in your payout without having to play the hand had a huge influence?

Anyway, it was a good fold at that moment, after seeing all streets. :P

Not saying it is a good fold next time, I might not fold next time, but who knows; Fritz can... do crazy stuff. :D

I have also read that you should push all in with 23 when you are big stack at the end of the final table or sng table when 4 handed, even if you risk to double up your opponents.

I got a lots of opinions in this thread.. thanks for that!

Once again, I got the points, it was a bad fold before I saw all streets. Afterwards I got lucky and could keep my stack and continue my playing.

Soo, what have we learned from this thread?

When you are at the final table, no matter what, you don't fold KK!

This will be the end of discussion... :D
