:confused:Ill just know I made a bad play and move on:confused:
Final Table of sunday 10k
im in 6th place of 9 players
BB$20,000 sb$10,000 ante$1600 starting pot$44,400
utg--folds
+1---folds
+2---folds
carpenter4 raise to $60,000(:8s::9s:)startin stack$244,186
+4---folds
+5---ReRaise to $100,000....min raise:eek:
+6 and blinds fold

pot now $204,400 and i have to call$40k
which will leave me $142,586

only read on this player seince we only been at FT
for 18 hands is that when i was in sb he open limped
from utg then paid off a value bet from me on river
with QQ9 J 6 board.. i had Q9 and he had KJ (he bluffed at flop)

ugggggggg!!!!!!! is this insta fold? see flop? all in?

I call.....

flop :9h::Qc::4s:

whats the play here..ck/fold? ck/call? ck/raise? probe bet? ALL IN?

i think ck/fold... would hate to call off with this and any bet
made by other player puts me all in and with my stack i cant
probe bet/fold soooooooooooooo i shove
as soon as i hit the button i screamed at myself
"THIS WILL NEVER WORK!!! you stupid DONK"
and it didnt he insta calls with :Kc::Ks:
turn :3h:
riv :Js:
and im out in 9th place

probally shouldnt have even been in pot to begin with
but I was really just tryin to steal.. then the odds on
call pre flop kept me in

Don't openraise 9 high when you have 12bbs imo

i hear ya.. like deek said "bad bluff gone wrong"
but what im really worried about is the call pre flop
and flop play ...
this is really not a play i make very often at all
open rasing wit 9 high espically so short stacked

maybe just over thinking on it

i think ur real decision because of your stack size is preflop... if you do decide to raise with with a suited connector and your reraised what in your opponents range are u not dominated by? AK? AQ? either way even you do open shove prflop you have to know you will be called so why risk so many chips hoping to hit a lucky flop? i think if you do decide to play this hand you should stick to small ball and limp that way if ur raised and not priced in you can just dump your hand losing the minimum. and lets say u stuck with ur game plan... i would have just check folded the flop.. ur min raised by an opponent who has to notice ur stack size knowing ur either gonna shove or fold so imagine his delight when you just open shove ur stack and he snaps calls to see he is in the lead by a big margin.... thats just IMO

QFT

You`re pretty much in push/fold territory with 12xbb, especially with antes. At this stage shorter stacks are looking to push and big stacks are looking to punish any sign of weakness.

The min re-raise screams monster hand. He`s not 3-betting to steal the pot, he wants action. An ace on the flop and you might have gotten away with the play though.
