Now don't get me wrong, I think I am pretty good player with lots of room to grow. I know the basic concept of pot odds in the sense that I know when I am committed and when to lay down before I am into the pot to deep to get out.

I always manage well in the tournaments I play in, but I think if I can get the Pot Odds concept down a little bit tighter it could only help me in the long run.

Question is, how would you guys suggest learning about pot odds to where it makes sense and is easily learned. For one, I am a instincts player. I study how a person plays in each position, and the players who are a threat to me I normally take notice in what they normally play in certain positions, what they raise with in certain hands...ect ect. Pot odds has never really been a issue with me because I have never really used it unless its gotten to the point of "well hell, i have put in 2/3's of my stack so there is no getting out now" type situation.

So, any thoughts on this? Remember also, I am not a math guy and have no patience with numbers. We gotta make this as pleasant as possible :)

Thanks. I have found a few sites similar to that, but its just a TON of information to take in. I guess its just part of the deal though. Oh how I hate math....Thanks for the response though.

I try not to get too hung up on pot odds. In the long term, figuring pot odds and wagering accordingly will add to your bottom line. But it can be a killer in the short term. I play the odds occasionally, but mostly just try to play overall good solid poker. Experience, and knowledge of the opposition, I find to be of the most value. Keeping notes (whether mentally or written) will add the most value to your game (IMHO).
