Well i'd like it better if they lost the pads. No need for them imo. Also, what's with stopping for a rest every ten seconds? At least include more cheerleader shots when doing this instead of watching some dj with a clipboard checking whether his breath smells.
Stop for three years then come back steroid free.... See how big the meatheads are then. It's only a short step to becoming the next major addition to the 'Sports Entertainment' genre.
Oh and headbutting happens waaay more often in NFL than any pro footie league. Which is all the more ridiculous when you consider they wear helmets. Okay so it's usually members of same team butting heads but still. :P

That's why the NFL has steriod testing and only get a couple violations a year. Soccer is just about people tripping each other and getting thrown out of the game for it and scoring just one goal is an hour or however long a match is. And the ball can hurt if it hits you? lol. Might as well have the soccer players wear pads too, the game can't get any worse

No no no, USA is about sports they can call themselves world champions in. Association Football (took the name a few hundred years before someone got bored of rugby and changed it a bit to create your version) is a truly global game.
To say USA is about football and UK is about soccer is a huge sweeping generalisation. Plenty of people over there like football, and plenty of folk over here like gridiron. Heck, i like gridiron. But i don't think you can compare them directly, it would be like comparing baseball with bog-snorkelling (google it you'll love it). I like games to have some description of their action in the name handball, basketball, football(involves more than a token kicking game), ten pin bowling, golf(from the old english 'go left'....no? ok). Aaaaanyway, as for me wanting people to be allowed to trip each other up ...lol... that's like me wishing karate opponents had the option to whip out a samurai to end the bout quicker.
In all seriousness though.... i'm not being very serious.

Horrible nasty teams win Superbowls too. Tennessee look pretty solid to me. I think it's more wide open than usual this year but sorry i don't see your Chargers maintaining their momentum much longer. The Broncos may well continue their mega-choke this weekend but i wouldn't be surprised to see them end the Chargers hopes either. Two flaky teams, might be quite a few fumbles as nerves get fraught.

For my pick though I take Indy to continue their streak all the way.

FALCONS!!!! We're in the playoffs and have a good chance of winning our division. Sure we're doing it on a weak schedule, but you don't mock a slow kid for doing well in special ed, do you?

We have risen from the ashes and should call ourselves the phoenixes, or the phoenixi, or what ever the plural for a unique bird is...(alcohol messing w/me here)

And I LOVE soccer. LOVE IT!!! Not the American brand (yet) we're not really up to par, but I watch European soccer every chance I get.

Alex was right, you can't compare the 2. People think that because they have the same names they're similar, but it's not tru. Soccer players don't need pads (maybe some form of padded headgear) and it would be suicidally insane to play football w/o pads.

And NFL players don't use steroids, they can't find any, thanx to the pro baseball players scarfing them all.

chargers 11-0 in december last 3 season.we put up 40+ on a bucs D. i dont think denver is gunna b much of a challenge defensively. our defense is performing better with our new cordinator getting better everyweek. it should b a blowout imo.

trust me natsdad Indy DOES NOT WANT 2 C US!!!! im not bragging proud about my team or anything im just happy were still alive after being out 3 games with 3 to play..i never stopped believing and denver is gunna get what they deserved(mile high quueers lol)....all year we did not have a lost over double digits. most of our lost came in the final seconds...so those games could of gone either way.

the nfc title is going to the panthers

but as for the afc i still like my Chargers!!!:win::D:P

The problem with this statement is that most countries aren't bothered about playing the game. It's a minority sport if it's played at all. NFL Europe was mostly U.S players propping it up. So yeah, a Rest of the World team would struggle to score on the Lions but that's kinda my point. If i invent a sport and only i play it then obviously i'm world champion in it... but it sounds kinda ridiculous calling myself world champion of a sport only i play.

And yeah i take your point about you being biiiig favourites over the Broncos and i noticed your great December record. But the wonderful thing about sport is it constantly throws stats back in your face to produce great stories. I think there'll be a lot of twitchy players come Sunday night.

I saw on tv a while back that there was a temporary court set up somewhere in Cleveland stadium to deal with dogpound drunks.... now that's efficiency.. We aren't that organised.:beaten:

Sounds like me. Have a winning week and then two losing weeks in a row. It especially sucks when you actually pick winners but have most of your money on the one losing team. Friggen Carolina!!!!!!!!! No bets here this weekend either. I would take Phili and Balt though.

The game was absolutely awesome, the stadium is awesome, the fans were surprisingly more into the game than I had thought they would be

Tons of people outside the stadium with signs and chants about the apocolypse coming

Tons of people in the stadium jail

3rd quarter some drunk runs across the field to have the hell kicked out of him by like 5 officers

4th and 10 shutdown was absurd, place was electric glad they won fk the eagles.
