Not sure how often I'll be in here actually blogging but I figure what better way to start than to have 2 Royal Flushes within 24hrs - One in a ring cash game and the other in video poker - Jacks or Better! New to the online gambling world - My experiences so far have been amazing!

I'm still struggling - played few ring games and - didn't win much, didn't lose much. SNG's - same..would placed in the money and won a few times...and have to admit placed dead last a few times too. Where I struggle the most - the FREEROLLS! I have yet to place anywhere near the money - my nemesis - having pocket AA. It's ironic that everytime I have them - someone else also has a pair of some sort and would go all-in and sure enough would hit for trips or better on the flop. The best one I can remember would be the following (as best as I can remember) - I have pocket A's - opponent pocket 7's (with a club) - FLOP - Ac - Jh - 10c TURN 5c - RIVER 4c - and I'm outta there...well no..had 20 chips left...pulled up the history and stared at..the blinds came around and I was done.
One more thing - Sharkscope -yes search me and I'll have a wonderful bowl with a fish in it right next to my name - however - it also says I've played 334 games - I just joined in October - I really don't think I've played in 334 cash games - unless this includes my freeroll play then I would say the stats would be misleading - LOL! Next time you see me...look into the bowl more closely..and you'll realize that this fish ain't no fish part of the carp family.

i hear ya on those free rolls i just cant crack into the money!! I have found the last two weeks i made it to the final 100 and then i just get rolled or someone ends up getting lucky on me. I think its just a matter of time though. As far as sharkscope goes i dont use it. Maybe it helps some people but i dont see the point a fish or a shark can beat you as long as they happen to have better cards than you. Maybe im missing something but for me every new tournament is a new experience and everyplayer is different the only way to figure them out is to play alot and get your money in with the best hand. But i recomend 6 player sng's or even HU if your just trying to build up your bankroll. Thats what has been working for me :D

Same here...getting into final 100...and no matter what...i'll get those aces, or flop 2pair or trips to get beaten out by a call drawing the flush or straight...and without fail landing it. Perhaps the day they hold up everytime I get them I'll make it through - maybe it's a karma thing =)

Dec. 26th - Boxing Day - Not a good day....please make the torture stop! Hardly had cards to call...and when I did..couldn't hit a thing on the flop...had pocket AA's again to be between out by an outrageous caller with a 9-7 off suit...flopping a 9 and then rivers the 7......one example of many others - THE WHOLE DAY! Found out what a ripoff BlackJack is here - incredible - paralyzes the mind actually -"Player has 20" - Dealer "Shows a 4" - "Player - Stands" - "Dealer shows 4 & 7 for 11" - "Dealer draws -21!" Dealer wins! Player has 20 - Dealer -has 8 shows 3 for 11 - draws 21 dealer wins
Player has 20 - Dealer has 6 - shows 6 & K - 16 - Draws 5 - 21! Dealer wins. Player has 20 - Dealer has BJ - Dealer wins. Player has 20 - Dealer shows K - Opens 2 for 12 - Draws 2 - Draws 2 Draws 5 -21! Dealer win - and finally one more when I finally quit..
Player has 3 & 8 - 11 - Dealer 4 - Player dbl - Draws - 9 for 20 - Dealer opens 4 & 7 for 11 - Dealer draws for 21! Dealer wins.....sick sick sick....

Ahhhh so its not just a conspiracy against me then lol i suggest you stay away from that thing ive lost so much money on blackjack, its exactly the same in a casino tho you need players with ya, taking on a dealer in a casino is never a good thing you need to other players and to look at what cards have come out to make a judgement on what to do, which is why the last seat on the table is always the most important seat and you dnt want an idiot sat there calling cards when he shouldnt, so always try and get someone experienced sat there. Anyways good luck with it all;)

I've visited and played various online casino sites and have never taken a beating like this - no matter what I did the dealer would make a better hand. And irony is this...I went back after posting....me being dumb and silly? Yea...but I wanted to try something and won!!!
Note: What I posted earlier wasn't the only time I tried the blackjack here as well as not the only time I got beaten as badly...actually got the beats every single time.
Previously I would come to the table and only bring the most $20 and bet the min. $1. And if you read my the beginning of my post, the house consumed that money in a matter of minutes. But this time I decided to bring everything....and still play $1...and wouldn't you know it...now I'm winning...is this stategic plan to get me thinking "Oh I should bet more" - Of course it is! It wants to devour my cash in minutes...and not waste it's time taking me a dollar at a time now. What it doesn't know is that I've already set my plan, only bet $1...if i lose $10... I quit. And so believe it or not - I actually won $20 playing min of $1....and being up $20 I took a chance and started playing $5....must be my day..went on to win $80 - go figure. Not sure if anyone else wants to give it a try...bring the whole wad to the table but please just be careful....and never never chase. Set an amount you are willing to lose...and keep to it. Anyway let me know how it goes for those who do try it.

Blackjack will lure you in with promises of a quick buck then strip you, bend you over the table and.... well you know the rest. Stay away.

agree strongly with natsdad!! I went in there the other day after having a good day at the poker tables just to try it out. Started playing 1 dollar min bet and after about 30 mins i was up about 30 bucks so stand up and leave right. NO!!!! i thought hey i should bet more so rose it to two bucks and soon three in a matter of 10 min lost it all on some outrageous catches by the dealer. Long story short you wont catch me in there again im sticking to what i KNOW and love poker!!

Hey man you need to turn your PM on so that i can send you messages. But anyway Dori sent me the link to register a team and he is getting back to me with how many people we need. I can either try to register the team or can send you the link seeing how im pretty busy this week with work. So far the only people i know of are me and you cuz i cant find that other thread that we were posting on like last week. But as far as i know the league starts on WED so we would need to get stuff together. Other thing is only game i am good at (sometimes that is) is NL HOLDEM so we either need some people that can play all the games or just learn as we go. From what Dori explained only 2 or three members of our team can play in a single event anyways meaning the same person could always play HORSE or STUDD or we could mix it up and just learn as we go. Anyway hit me up if ya get anymore info.
