Have anyone heard of this. I have been reading other forums on other sites and they are talking about this. Something about Bush signing a new anti- gaming bill before he leaves office. Doyle Brunson is looking for a new network also in case this is inacted. It's all new to me. Have anyone any more info on this?

I really do not know too much about it to be honest. I have heard several people say Bush was putting a stop to things prior to leaving office, but all through his presidency he was supposedly shutting it down and has not. There has been talk that Obama is going to permit it to continue and the 13 or so states excluded at this point will be granted permission to play before too long (guessing this is more wishful thinking than anything). It was explained to me he is permitting it to continue because its such a clouded issue, complicated and low priority for him at this time. I have been told existing accounts will be permitted to continue while everything is sorted (until they figure out a way to tax it I guess). This has just been conversations with friends a couple follow it closely and a couple just talking about it making assumptions.
Would be interested to know from someone who keeps up on this what their thoughts are and how they feel its going to go.
I don't know how on earth I am going to explain to the family we are moving to Canada so that I can play online poker

State laws will trump federal laws. Even if Bush reverses UIEGA, it will still be illegal to gamble online in 13 states.

Hi All,
We have no intentions of blocking US players other than players that are currently blocked from Kentucky. Even the Kentucky decision may be temporary depending on how the current debates in that state turn out.
We strongly support freedom of choice for US players and we will keep this stance.

Doyle could have choose Merge but he choose Cake. His network site is kicking US players out so he's going to Cake network.
