last night I was in a WTA 'FL omaha H/L8' freeroll last night at *******

I didnt win. but I did not finish bad ( 7th of 220 ) paid the same as last LOL

I would like to take this time to explain something that I did early in the game that seemed to really tick off a player named;

" ImNotAPro21 "

anyway, like I said, it WAS early and I was dealt the Q-Q-Q-8

when the hand was over and the cards were shown 'Pro' started calling all kinds of names, told me to
'go back to the holdem table', "what kind of Idiot are you" , what kind of idiot would hold three Qs(those were the nice ones)

He went further to try to tell me how to play (3 on the board........)

I then tried to tell him " I Know" but he kept ramblin and called me 'clueless"

I even tried to tell him that I was dealt quad 7s earlier and pitched em in the muck

His response to that was " you didnt have Quad 7s, cause you can only use two"
I did not respond at that time ,but I would like to now,

to ' Imnotapro21' If you told me that I didnt muck quad 7s, because I could only play 2 of them,,

then how could I be holding 3 Qs ( if I could only play 2 of em????)

anyway. back to my logic;

3 of anything might look bad in the hole, but holding 3 Qs & an 8 isnt that bad because,

if the upcards are 9-T-J-x-x ( no pair or flush on the board ) then I am more than likely to hold the nut str8 (unlikely for someone to be holding the other Q with a K,)
or

if the other Q is an upcard, then there is my set ( and if the board pairs, then I have a boat)

I wouldnt do it with small cards, may or may not in NL (depends if I could limp in) but with the 8 ( which still could have been 9 thru Ace ) I think my logic holds.

I have at times ( early times playing omaha ) had thrown my set of -whatever- into the muck, only to see the fourth one come up and the board pair, and there went the winning hand,,

Oh by the way, what happened last night,

the fourth Queen came up on the flop and the board turned a small pair and I took the pot

and 'Imnotapro21', I think that put him on tilt (he was 210th of 220 )

i like omaha, espec hl omaha, i cant comment on ur play or ur hand coz youve not really said what cards come out, uv only speculated what if... but generally qqq8 is not good, any over pair has u dominated, as u have only the 1 q left to hit ur set.. uv not got the nut flush draw, ur only relying on a pair on the board with ur last q to hit the boat.. sorry but id fold.. but thats just my opinion.. :wave:

sorry just realised that u flopped the last q and ur hand held... u got lucky... but imo not a good hand..

thank you for your response

oh yeah, I was real lucky-- but as I said before with the variables that were in play (FL,limp in) I really had nuthin to lose to see a flop

I like omaha PL HI

FL bugs me too much, you cant put a value bet out there
L8 bugs me to where a locked low player(s) is reraising so much
that you have no idea what the value of your HI hand is

but--- it was a freeroll

you could say that for any cards you are dealt like if you had 2555 then assume flop would come ace 3 4.
