I would like to know who could be called a donkey at this site? When you keep seeing rivers wins with 1 or two outters. If you are not a fish than you are a donkey.....Pick 1!

Hi and a jolly, happy, upbeat welcome to the forum! I don't know why you bother on here. It's obv sooooooo rigged and every other site online has a better/fairer RNG and better promos and better players. Good luck with your next site.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Hmmm
Time I got this off my chest.
Talk about bad runs - I know I am playing OK, however almost every hand gets beaten. SnG - play safe and patiently, wait for the opportunity, pick up a few pots, then I get trips or AA KK and it gets beaten by a fish looking for a draw or just get lucky with a smaller pair.
MTT - Get past the interval in the top 20% then another bad beat. Even final tables I lose all in with the better hand.

Even tried varying my play - This is really frustrating !!!!

At different times within the same tournament, we are ALL sharks, fish and donkeys. No one is always a shark, or always a fish or always a donkey. Sometimes bad players do win with bad cards (and we want to strangle them) but, bad players get good cards, too and because they seemingly call with AnyTwoCards (ATC) we can't really put them on a range of hands (ever) so if we continue to play good card and get our money in with the best hand, we can at least know we played right.

To me, I'm always trying to improve my game; its a matter of discipline (again, for me) I do try not to play bad cards, even in the face of bad play. Early on, before I learned how to play (properly) I was frequently rewarded for playing ATC poker and thought I was good. I was not and I'm not now, either, but I'm getting better. It's so easy to play ATC poker, but not easy to play ABC poker. that's the real goal of poker, for me. I find I have to look at goals not immediate results.

Everyone is a donk once in a while. Just some more than others. It's all part of the game. When I'm called a donkey I take it as a compliment,means I'm playing my game. Doesn't happen to often, I dont donk to often. Sometimes you just have to.

One thing I have learned playing online.

Survival.

Sometimes its better to survive a particular hand than play it. I still sometimes get caught up playing a very good hand when I should be listening to the alarm bells going off that tell me to fold it and get busted out. Taking a deep breath sometimes instead of quick calling can make all the difference.

Was he a donk or was I just a fish?

I can't understand why he would call and raise and re-raise when he had nothing unless he knew what cards were coming.

Boy it burns when you have 'em beat and they turn turds into diamonds on the river.

He played it right. He used aggression to make it so that he could win the pot 2 ways. Either when you did the right thing and folded your little two pair or when he cracked your hand--as he did.
