This was the initial challenge he threw out:
“I’m making this heads-up challenge to the world. Anyone can accept. Four tables, minimum of $200/$400, and I’ll put up $1.5 million to their $500,000. We play 50,000 hands minimum and if they end up a dollar after rake they keep the side money or whatever. So basically, if you and I played and you won a dollar, you would get my $1.5 million and if I won a dollar I would win your $500,000.So I’m giving a million dollars free if anyone thinks they can do it.”Tom is renowned for being a sick gambler, happy to bet thousands of $$$ on the flip of a coin etc, but surely none of the top pro’s would turn down such a challenge.? The only problem for some of the top players, was the number of hands Dwan wanted to play and this is obviously where he feels his biggest edge is, the long run.
He then set a few more rules, including not allowing one player, the one player he obviously decided he wasn;t that confident of beating, Phil Galfond.
The challenge was out there. Probably to Tom;’s suprise, he not only got one acceptance of the challenge, but THREE! Three of the biggest names in poker took him up.
Phil Ivey - The biggest online winner in 2008
David Benyamine - The biggest online PLO winner of 2008
Patrik Antonious - just sick good anyways.
Ivey has been quoted as saying that in these sorts of stakes losing $5-$10 Million would not be all that far out of the equation.
The details have yet to be finalised, but the challenge is on!

Galfond is a mate of Toms plus his tight aggresive style wouldn't suit
his challenge.TBH...i would like to see someone kick his azz.Watched him
recently in a big money game that is currently on sky sports. He was down
nearly 200k and he looked fishy compared to the other guys.Ivey donated
a few thousand to him when he tryed a bluff with 2 3 off. These online guys
have a long way to go before they compare with some of the greats that
mostly play live.

Been watching tom dwan play a fair bit on sky sports recently.Hes down
quite a bit in the million cash game.Phil hellmuth is terrified to get in a pot
with him....lol.His style of play is defo not working for him in that game.Phil
hellmuth knocked him out in the premier league and as tom was leaving, phil
thanked him for the odour. That was a nice compliment phil...lol.Hes just a tad
jealous of durrrs success online...me thinks:rolleyes::rolleyes:...In the big
cash game, tom is playing far too many hands and thats his downfall.I,m off
to do a spot of railing....lol.Adios amigos..

On ********, he's had a bad start to this year. Last month he was down more than $3.2 million. But hes bounced back this month and is up almost $2 million.
All together he's down $1.3 million this year. But lately, hes having good runs. Fun to watch em play tho! :)
