I was reading in some of the forums and saw mention of Poker Crusher software.
I went and checked it out and started the download and my virus program jumped up and said it was infected with a Trojan Horse virus!!
I checked with the virus program company and it had no info on the virus and I googled for the virus but there is nothing about it.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Is this a false virus detection?
I emailed the Poker Crusher people but have not received a response ... yet.

I have tried that one...
My experiences:
1. Hard to get rid of when you don't want to subscribe any more.
They are trying to convince you to continue with it.
2. You will probably receive run trap error more than ever.
3. It will slow down your computer.
4. You wont be able to run 2 tables at same time if you don't have a super computer.
5. It doesn't work properly with merge software.
I promise you, you don't want to subscribe for it if you are going to use it
on merges software.
So, ok,... you will get lots of info about all players... it will kill the fun.
I suggest you look at something else in the long run.
They told me it was just to install it.... but the setup program was in greek I
think. It was working for me, and it has not killed my computer and I have
not noticed any weird thing after I un-installed the program.
I think how ever that my computer is healthier after I uninstalled the program....
You do as you want.. but I would not go for that program any more time.

Ehum... you should probably check your computer... ;)
The software was working for me too, but I didn't uninstall the antivirusprogram.
I noticed that it was not working properly on merges client.. it was working better when I were playing on other site... I can't name that network.
It was working perfectly there..
The thing is you need to have certain settings for the Antivirusprogram.
Nowadays it is kind of stupid to run your computer without antivirusprogram.
With software like this,... there is no wonder if people call some ones raise with a "donk hand"... LMAO.. .. especially if people play same hands almost
all the time. ;)

Did you pay for a whole year at once?
I choose to go for month per month and they would draw per month.
In my latest contact with them I told them to either stop the subscription or
I will make sure there are no money on my account in the end of the month. :)
I also said that I would keep an eye on my account. They have not taken any
money from my account after that. Plus in the edge for that.

Isn't this program against the terms of service. I thought programs with central databases were against the rules at every poker site, not just carbon/merge.
They even say on their site they use security measures to hide the program from being detected by major poker sites.

Poker Crusher has to be the absolute worst piece of software I have ever seen anyone have the guts to charge people for.
They claimed there was no virus in their program but after my Registry Mechanic program set a restore point my virus program detected the virus they claim isn't there in the restore point. Restore points only back up system files ... not program files. The .dll file the virus program said was infected was in the Poker Crusher folder, not in any system folders.
So apparently the anti-virus program thinks it infected some system file which was backed up in the restore point.
Also I couldn't play two SNG's in a row. Had to cold boot the puter between games. And, sometimes, I had to start Poker Crusher twice before it worked.
I deleted this piece of trash and my virus program is still coming up complaining. Hope I finally got it out of the system after the last time.

I was just reading terms and conditions and couldn't find anything.
They only thing I could see was that you are not allowed you have a bot.
As far as I know Poker crusher is not a bot, because you need to think on
your own. But yes, it collects data from you and other players, your hand
history from showdown (only the last 5), how you protect your blinds, if you
are loose or tight player, if you are a winner or a loser at the moment... and
little more.
Well, if you are a good observer you can manage to play without this
program, because your brain can collect same data, maybe harder to
keep all numbers and make all the calculations correct.
I don't see any harm in this program, but I think it takes the fun out
of poker a lot, since you can study how players play in a different way...
more obvious since your have all numbers available.
But! I am not saying the program is totally correct.

I think you did a good thing...
I have a program which I like, that I can suggest. It is smaller and more harmless for your computer. Ok, it cost too...
It is simpler and have a little data while your are playing...

I don't have a problem with software that keeps track of hands that you have played in (poker tracker, holdem manager). But I think having software that tells you how millions of hands were played by thousands of users when you haven't played a single hand against them is an unfair advantage.

Yeah, I know what you are saying.. that is why I said it is killing the fun.
