VIP - What about the comp points i have?

anyone know what is going to happen to the comp points we have built up on this site prior to the VIP change over? I'm definitely looking forward to the change but didnt read anything about what happens to the points in our accounts.

should i spend them? or will i get a nice start to the new program?

also i read this about the freeroll coupons and dont get the dates or what it is saying, can anyone clarify?

The $50,000, $10,000, $2,000 & $1,000 freerolls will cease to run as of Monday 2 March @ 00:00 (CarbonPoker Time). The current freeroll schedule will be cancelled to make way for the all new $50,000 weekly guaranteed tournament and the new exclusive freerolls for each level of the VIP program.

All players with existing entry coupons for the above freeroll tounaments will be exchanged for VIP points during the software changeover.

Please note: the final $10,000 freeroll will run on Sunday 1 March @ 15:00 with coupons for this tournament being cashed in for VIP points the following day.

well thats what I don't get... in this example you are 5 to one comp. points to vips. 2500 comps for a ticket, 500 vip points for the ticket. you still have the 2500 in your balance and then that gets converted too?

Well lets see 50K coupon.. only works one way to get the vip points. You have to win the 50k coupon, to get credit for it. pdcpoker only gives those by getting points in players admin. Some of the other skins which i cant mention have freerolls for the 50K coupons.

So anyway here on pdcpoker you have to get 5k in points in the month and you dont automatically get a coupon for the 50k, same goes for 1k and 2k; meaning you get to play those freerolls if you met requirements. You just dont have that coupon in your coupon section in cashier. These are the coupons you will be credit'd for!

Lots of us have made out 5k in the month and then not been able to play that Sunday at the end of month. Those coupons that way dont build up.


It is nice they are giving a exchange for them. But here at least. Only way you will have any these coupon's is to have played a tourney through a affiliate's game,ie:rounder's radio. Here on pdcpoker that is.

I dont see exchange for the deepstack coupon which you can get through pdc. I dont see exchange * lol for the wsop finale's coupon. Those you can win through pdcpoker.

How about the sincity coupon*issued(2006/09/07) i have in my account,or the SuperSeat freeroll issued* (2007/09/06) Or the forum vs staff bounty game coupon(2008/10/27) I also have the 50%reload bonus in my coupons. from October 2008. All earned, all coupons from pdcpoker. Never removed, and couldnt be used;* either cause i couldnt make it or site didnt play it! Or they offered chance to win more than one coupon, even though you could only use 1. For the one time happening*game.

Now i realize this is actually pdcpoker/carbon poker forum. Even though different names, not all posts from both pdc and carbon can be read from either side.* said sites.

The only knowledge i have about the coupons is from carbon mail. Nothing from pdcpoker. And yes my email is active, i get email regarding pm's and from support when i email them.

Carbon is still pdc but, even carbon has diff games from pdc. ie:twitter freeroll.

Anyway still curious myself , regarding what our comp points under this system will translate to when vip takes over in April. If it takes say 5000 comp points for a 50k freeroll coupon * which as stated dont show up in your coupons. You will get 1000 vip points. that is 1 for every 5 points you get back. But again the 50k coupon you will be credit'd for has to be won, not comp pointed for.

So with my amazing 56k comp points i have left. I guess im asking. do i divide it by 5, and that is approx 11200 VIP points i will get? And store. Will pdc get a store or still just coupon store? If we still had the comp points store on pdc id have enough for a hat right now. will 11200 still get me a hat or would i need near 50-75k vip points for one. Not that i expect the nicest hats on network to come back. After all lol they kept selling out.

This is no rant. Just something i have been looking at. As info dribbles in.

FYI, there is a link in PDC Player Admin's info for verision 4.5 release that takes you this information.

Unless I've missed it, I don't see anything there that talks about converting existing comp points to VIP points, only converting coupons.

well I don't play poker for freebee's and I only have about 600,000 points left after getting a chipset and there is really nothing else in the store that I'd want and I can't buy into tourneys at the carbon store so I guess its just wait and see what happens.

I quit paying rake in December for the freerolls but I have just barley made my 5000 points this month for the last 50k just for good times sake so good luck to everyone in that one :)

No, stars as in the stars you see players have at the tables, ********s does need to be renewed every month, which if this site doesn't makes it extremely generous. We'll just have to wait and see if it is monthly or not

I cannot believe there are not more ****ed off players here than me, talk about a bait and switch....... Support wont answer the question, and promised "management" would e-mail a answer.
Why would they run a "March Madness" promo to induce comp point play, only to have those same points become virtually worthless 30 days later?
Now you can trade them in to enter tournaments that pay no cash, you just win VIP points, and 6 months from now? Will the reinvent the VIP Points? Making them as useless as comp points are today?
As far as them converting comp points into VIP points I have not read anything to comfirm that. I know that the older version had some people abusing the system, but screwing all the players, instead of targeting the ones abusing the system, well its pretty lame....
