Why does PDC hate me?

In the last 2 days have lost some big hands that really cost me first in the SNG.

First hand: Down to 3 players, I have a decent chip lead. I'm in the BB with JJ. UTG folds, SB calls, I raise 3 times BB. SB moves all in. I call. They turn up 8-2 suited... They end up catching 2 pair and win the hand... They eventually end up donking off their chips over the next several hands, but the chip lead I would have had would have all but wrapped up the win for me...

Next hand: Same tourney heads up high blinds. Other player moves all in and I call, they have QJ hearts, I have K-10 Hearts, flop Q-J-x...no A or 9 and they win. Gave them the chip lead and I was never able to recover...

3rd hand and most frustrating: Heads up I have about 2 to 1 chip lead. I have 2 black aces, opponent raises, I reraise, we end up all in. They have the 2 red Aces....4 hearts on the board and now I am behind 2 to 1 in chips. Few hands later, I have 8-3 limped pot, flop is 8-3-4. I move in, get called opponent has 8-4...

One more, just happened...

Heads up, Flop Kd-5s-8s...Opponent moves all in (I am chip leader). I have 6s-7s. I think about it for quite awhile, finally decide with Straight and flush draws I would call. Would still have about 2500 chips if I lose.

Opponent turns up K-10, which is pretty much what I put them on. Turn is 8c, the river is a spade.......the K of spades giving me my flush but my opponent the Full House.....

Actually only cause he posts his. If anyone is king of bad beats it has got to be me. :wave: My runs go longer than anyone else's. Proof being. I havent withdrawn. Soon as i think about it beats happen. And ass gets beat bad by nothing. Close poker buddys know this to be true.

But point is. After what ? 5+yr here now, sh1t happens. Ride the tide, patience will pay. * along with normal good poker sense. Any one of the top players on this site and off will tell you that.

I've only posted a fraction of the crazy beats I've taken....and just most recently.

One more from today:
SNG down to 3 players, I'm short stack. Large stack (button) raises to 525 (blinds 75/150) I have AcQc. I reraise all in (little over 1100). They call, turn up 8h4h. Flop Kh2s9h.....at this point I already know the heart is on the way...Sure enough, 10h on turn.....

If this was last night ~ I had the very same problem & from what I could tell so did others (nearly impossible to chat to find out though with the way the chat box was scrolling to keep pace after it returned from freezing up). I was in the ring and in a MTT. When I first started everything was rolling fine. Right after break everything (including the forum) locked up tighter than a fishes backside. So I just logged off.

At this rate I will soon be way past crabs...more proof...This first one PDC is just rubbing it in my face...

I have one of those push all in every hand types sitting to my left, I wait patiently and finally pick up a decent pocket pair and wait for their push...sure enough they push and I call. And as is usually the case (because after all PDC hates me) this is the one time this "constant all in pusher" has a hand...They turn up QQ to be ahead of my 10-10...I don't catch any cards and am down to 30 chips....

Now is where PDC rubs my face in it..Down to 30 chips, blinds at 75/150. I am dealt AA, yeeFRIGGINhaw...Of course I move in. There are 3 other players in the hand (sweet, even if I win I still won't even have 1 big blind...) On the flop I get one more Ace, and if that isn't enough they throw me one more ace on the river... So with my Quad Aces I take down a pot of 120, while K high takes 360... I was able to work my 120 up to 700 or so, but wasn't able to place in the tourney...

In a 10 player SNG, first hand Player in middle position moves all in. I have KK and call and one player behind me (button) also calls.

The three hands are:

Allin Bet - JJ
Me - KK
Button - Q-10 Spades

I am the favorite preflop but end up 3rd place in the hand. JJ ends up making Js full of 6s, Q-10 makes a flush, and I have Ks up....Ahh the sweet smell of justice....

Don't try to change up your game when you are just getting unlucky. But if ur losing to big suckouts like this, try changing up your game and play after the flop. You need to get all ur chips in before the flop. But when you do have so many people going all in all the time, then you can't do anything about it and just hope you don't get sucked out on. When its 3 people all in the chances of winning go down. In that hand with ur KK vs JJ vs Q10 suited, the chances of u winning is around 67%. Its a good position to be in but know that its not 100%. You are going to lose every 1 out of 3.

Sorry, but I couldn't disagree more with the statement above I have bolded. It is a sucker play to be all in preflop, I try to avoid being all in preflop whenever I can. That play is only for people with no skill that have to rely on luck (as you can see by my posts, luck isn't my strong suit). I'm better outplaying people after the flop than to rely on luck...

I'll give you an example of why it's dumb to push all in preflop...(in this example we will assume the other player isn't a complete donkey...infact I will illustrate using how I would play each hand...

Hand 1 dealt KK, Hand Dealt AhKh. KK moves all in preflop, AK suited calls. Flop is 4s10d2c. Turn is 8h. River is Ad. KK loses.

Same hands, this time KK raises 3 times BB. AK suited calls. Flop 4s10d2c. KK makes a pot sized bet. Now most likely having completely missed the flop AK folds....some donks may call figuring 2 overcards to the board...lets assume donk. Flop is 8h. KK bets again half the pot or more...AK now as far as they know have 6 outs at best (actually only 3 aces), unless they are a total donk they should fold here...

So, in the all in preflop scenario KK loses, but in the Play it after the flop scenario KK wins.

In the all in preflop scenario, I really can't fault the AK play, but if they call all the way down as in the 2nd scenario... They get the total Donk title forsure.

Don't mistake my whining about these beats to mean I never win. I'm by far not the best player out there, but I am a winning player. I win much more than I lose...It's just the losses that really bug me cause most of the time I play them exactly right and some donk gets lucky (or gets a helping from PDC since they hate me).

SNG down to 3 players I am the chip leader by more than 3000 over 2nd place, I have :As::Ah: in SB (blinds 75/150), button calls, I make min raise (probably a big mistake, but not sure if a bigger bet would have made much of a difference), both players call.

Flop is :8h::Kd::Jd:. I bet 900 (size of the pot). Big blind reraises all in to 1999. Button calls and I call. Turn the hands up, BB has :Jc::7c:. Button has :Kh::6c:, and I have AA. Have em right where I want them...

Turn is :Kc: and the river is :6d:....

I just watched the first guy i will name at a .05/.10 pot limit Omaha Hi Lo table go from $3 to over $30 in just over 15 hands, i have logged over 1200 hands with this very person and he has lost at a rate of around 10%. That is a very low stake game. But he plays every day at that same rate so you do the math. If i could win a couple hunded a day playing .05 poker, no brainer. However i travel alot in my job and am awake at all hours of the day. The other thing all of these players have in common is i find them always on at 2 AM , noon, 9 PM doesnt matter what time im on this site they are always there. The first player on my list of over 50 is TrapStar540.

Well, I took a little break from the game, but I guess that didn't help...

First hand in a 10 player SNG.

I am dealt Qd-9d I limp in, as do 5 other players. The BB raises preflop to 80 and all but 1 call.

Flop is 3c Qs 5h

SB checks, BB bets out 230, I call (questionable and out of character especially on the first hand for me) and it folds to the button who moves all in. The BB folds and I'm already playing this hand a little loose so I figure what the heck and call (again admittedly not the best call with not much info on how the others play since it's the first hand).
